Nearest Postcode RG18 0TR. Park in Hampstead Norreys Village Hall CP off B4009 just south of village. A varied figure of 8 walk along woodland, open fields and downs. The 1st loop is south along the track of an old railway line, then a gentle climb towards Bothampstead & Banterwick Farm, returning with good views of hills round Hampstead Norreys. The 2nd loop is a steep ascent to Beech Wood and Haw Farm before looping back, again with good views. BRING PACKED LUNCH.

Travel by bus, train or park in one of the Reading car parks and meet by the Maiwand Lion in Forbury Gardens. Although the full walk is 10 miles, it is possible to shorten the walk by catching a bus or train back from specific points. It is a circular walk primarily on footpaths and not roads.
