Norfolk4As last year, the holiday is arranged through Ramblers Holidays and is a Private Group Holiday for Pang Valley, tailored to our requirements. For those who do not want day walks there may be opportunity to cut the walks short but this would need to be checked with the walk leader in advance.

Dunstan Hall hotel is a former Elizabethan style mansion lovingly restored to its former glory and is set in 150 acres of beautiful wooded Norfolk parkland, just outside of Norwich. There are restaurants, a bar, indoor swimming pool and fitness suite, a spa and many other facilities.

Google maps show it is about 160 miles from Reading and would take about three hours. There is a fast rail service from Kings Cross to Norwich.

For those who don’t want to walk every day there are attractions such as:-

  • Norwich Cathedral
  • Norwich Museum
  • Ely Cathedral a short train ride away
  • The Holkham estate and beach (reputed to be the Queen’s favourite)
  • Grimes Graves prehistoric flint mines, (English Heritage). You can go down one of the shafts into the old mine.Norfolk3

NB The above attractions may not all be accessible by public transport.

Cost for 5 nights is £535  (Single room supplement £100).  A deposit of £100 will be required on booking.
